Released
on July 8, 2000, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire became
the fastest selling book ever at that time, breaking any and all records in it's
path. It was again published by Bloomsbury in the UK and by Scholastic
in US. The book also developed a much bigger spine than the previous
novels, coming in at 734 pages to Prisoner of Azkaban's 435
pages.Harry is plagued with nightmares of snakes and strange killings, but still finds the time to attend the Quidditch World Cup with the Weasley family, though their good time is cut short when Death Eaters - followers of Voldemort - make an appearance at the post-World Cup festivities. Returning to Hogwarts at the end of the summer for a fourth year of school, Harry and his fellow students are informed of the return of the Triwizard Tournament, a competition between three European wizarding schools, will take place at Hogwarts. And despite the age restrictions that bar him from participating, someone finds a way to get Harry into the competition, much to his shock and disappointment.
